Voting results: Melted rubber, mullets

As today was Election Day in 'merica, we asked on our Facebook page what the ultimate '80s domestic machinery was for doing celebratory burnouts.

Pony cars were, of course, the automotive zeitgeist for the penultimate decade of the 1900s, so it's no surprise that the top vote-getters drop the eight-cylinder hammer.

With OU812 precincts reporting, we can say that the Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z is the burnout-mobile for the American public, edging out the Ford's Fox Body Mustang.

"Any non-French AMC product" got a single vote. Two write-ins also were inexplicably submitted: one for the GM A-Body and another for the Pontiac Aztek.
